Thanks to FSPR Volunteers Liz, Sue and Dave along with resuce dogs "Bumbles" and "Walker" (a.k.a. The Boys) who braved the cold winds and spent the day at the Dixie Day Event in Brooksville, FL on Saturday 11/22 to promote our rescue group.
The Owner of Dixie Feed, Chad was very gracious and put the Rescue up front so anyone that came in saw us right then & there! We were next to the Blue Healer rescue who we think were bumming 'cause the BOYS stole the attention! People came from everywhere and the day was a success!! Walker & Bumbles were absolute gentleman! They loved everyone, sat with the kids, and nibbled on their ears and hair.
Both Bumbles and Walker "The Little Texas Ranger" were a hit and by the way they both won prizes for the Cutest & Favorites!! Go Boys!!! That's our Peis!
For those who don't know, this event was Dixie Day at Dixie Feed. They had Horses, Goats, Chickens, Kittens, Lions, Tiger, Bears, and of course our Handsome Sharpeis!! WOOHOO! They had music Band & DJ, tack sales, food sales, freebies,face painting, contest, jewelry, crafts, you name it for Hernando county it was there!!
The event was from 8am to 4pm and the boys were exhausted! You know its tough being sexy & handsome all day!! One fireman took Walker over to the crew and said this is who he wanted for their Mascot. Many took the dogs and paraded them and begged husbands and wives... But the Bestest Part is everyone was given packets on the Rescue and the fliers Sue & Dave brought were placed on every car in the parking lot and on the Highway. This place is at I-75 & Hwy 50 in Brooksville.
Our hopes are that we will get some future Furever homes and foster families from their efforts.
