Please answer the following questions completely.

1. How did you hear about Florida SharPei Rescue?
2. What kind of experience do you have with the breed or dog ownership in general?
3. Please describe your living situation, so that we may find a good fit between foster parent and pei.
a) Rent or own? If you rent, have you consulted landlord for approval?
b) Fenced yard? If not, how do you plan to exercise the dog and provide routine potty breaks?
c) Children or other adults in home? If so, please provide age and gender.
d) Other pets? If so, please advise if current pet is less tolerant of dog of opposite gender or particular behavior such as very active/playful.
e) Do you have a crate or intend to use a crate for safety purposes?
4. Are you financially prepared to provide for quality food and monthly flea-tick/heartworm preventative? (Note that Rescue incurs cost for any needed veterinary care.)
5. Would you be comfortable fostering a dog with temporary medical needs? For example, caring for a dog being treated for demodex, yeast, ear infection, or immediately after eye surgery? (Note that most dogs need more love than medical care, but the Rescue wants everyone to be comfortable with his/her role.
6. Do you have a plan for care of a foster dog should you need to be away from home for an extended period?
7. A volunteer will coordinate with you for a meeting and/or home visit. How should we contact you?
8. Please add any additional questions or comments you would like a volunteer to address regarding your willingness to foster a deserving dog?
